What is the difference between a fiberglass door, a steel door and a wood door?
If security and durability are your top priorities, a steel door might be your best choice. A steel door is far stronger than a fiberglass door or a wood door. In addition, steel doors won't crack, warp or come apart. Steel doors are also less expensive than fiberglass doors and wood doors. Fiberglass doors are ideal for people who want a stain on their door(and thus the appearance of a wood door) without the maintenance required for wood doors. For certain homes and/or homeowners, a wood door is the best option, even though it is the most expensive option, most suceptible to wear and tear, and requires the most maintenance.
What is brick moulding?
Brick moulding is a casing that goes around the outside of the door. It is an aesthetic piece used to cover the jambs of the door.
What is a roll-screen storm door?
Roll screen storm doors allow you to instantly switch from glass to screen and back. There is no longer any need to remove the entire glass piece and switch it with a screen. Instead, the screen is rolled up at the top of the door. When you want to ventilate, simply pull the screen down and the glass panel will slide down as well. When you are ready to close the door again, just push the handle back up and the glass will slide back into place.
How long does a door installation take?
Depending on the size of the door and the opening it is going into, a typical door installation takes a few hours and sometimes a full day.
Do you have doors that qualify for the tax credit?
Most doors qualify for the tax credit. Check with the store manager before signing a contract just to make sure.
